1. Introduction

Poyse LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Poyse application and website at poyse.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address when you create an account via Clerk authentication
  • Conversation content: messages, decisions, and responses generated during your coaching sessions
  • Payment information: billing details processed securely by Stripe (we do not store your payment card information)

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session frequency, and interaction patterns via PostHog analytics
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, and device type
  • Error data: application errors and performance metrics via Sentry for service reliability

Voice Data

When using voice mode, speech recognition is processed by your browser's built-in Web Speech API. Audio is not recorded or stored on our servers. Only the transcribed text is sent to our servers as part of your conversation.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and improve the decision coaching Service
  • Maintain your session history and conversation continuity
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Monitor for security threats and prevent abuse (via Lakera Guard AI firewall)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the product
  • Send important service-related communications

4. AI Processing

Your conversation messages are processed by third-party AI providers (Anthropic) to generate coaching responses. Messages are sent to the AI provider in real time and are subject to their data processing policies. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. The AI provider may temporarily process your data to deliver responses but does not retain it for model training purposes.

5. Content Safety

We use Lakera Guard to screen conversations for prompt injection attacks, harmful content, and personally identifiable information (PII). Flagged content is logged for security purposes. Content flagged for PII generates a user warning but is not blocked. Content flagged for prompt injection or jailbreak attempts is blocked.

6. Data Sharing

We share your information only with:

  • Clerk: authentication and identity management
  • Supabase: database hosting for session and user data
  • Stripe: payment processing
  • Anthropic: AI model provider for generating coaching responses
  • PostHog: product analytics
  • Sentry: error monitoring and performance tracking
  • Lakera: AI content safety screening
  • Vercel: application hosting

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

7. Data Retention

Conversation data is retained as long as your account is active to provide session history features. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your personal data and conversation history will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), secure database access with row-level security policies, and regular security monitoring. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Export your data in a portable format

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
